At Africa Thryves, we see Africa as the ultimate frontier of emerging markets. Our mission is to empower African entrepreneurs, enabling them to reach the status of being "investment grade." We work to help them achieve profitability and growth. Additionally, we seek potential investors who can assist these entrepreneurs in scaling their businesses further, if that aligns with their aspirations.

We seek to help build a middle class of entrepreneurs who are passionate and committed to creating a better future for themselves, their families and their communities. We seek entrepreneurs who we believe are best prepared to create opportunities for others and their communities. We use our resources to target 3 areas:

1. Capital assets and start-up expenditures – Most Africans do not have access to credit or assets. At Africa Thryves, we evaluate an entrepreneur’s plan and provide resources that will help the entrepreneur embark on their journey.

2. Education and Training opportunities – While there are many educational and training opportunities in Africa, they are not widely accessible. As part of our evaluation process, we seek education and training opportunities that will make the entrepreneur more productive in THEIR business. There are currently no plans to invest in degree programs that take multiple years.

3. Social Impact – We are building entrepreneurs who invest in social impact programs. We believe that entrepreneurs should help solve the problems facing our communities. We believe that stable businesses contribute to family stability. Africa Thryves entrepreneurs are expected to allow us to help them grow. We have four key expectations for the entrepreneurs we assist:

    1. Trust in Our Partnership: We ask that the entrepreneurs trust us to guide them in developing profitable habits. We believe in the power of entrepreneurship and are committed to helping them navigate their journey towards sustainable business success.

    2. Transparency in Business Operations: We require our entrepreneurs to report their revenues and costs regularly. This helps us to gain insights into their business operations, which in turn allows us to provide targeted advice and support. This data-driven approach enables our entrepreneurs to make informed decisions that will positively influence their businesses.

    3. Sharing of Experiences: We encourage our entrepreneurs to share their experiences, challenges, and successes with us. Their stories are not only a source of inspiration for other aspiring entrepreneurs, but they also help us to continuously improve our methods and strategies. These shared experiences will be featured on our platforms, showcasing the real-life impact of our work. At the same time, we are committed to respecting privacy. We will never share actual names without permission or when something could be embarrassing to an entrepreneur.

    4. Investment in Community Impact: As our entrepreneurs become profitable, we ask that they contribute a portion of their profits as dividends to be reinvested into their communities. This pay-it-forward approach helps to amplify the positive impact of their success, benefiting their local communities and contributing to the overall mission of Africa Thryves while preparing them for additional growth opportunities.

We began our entrepreneurial journey with Advanced Promotions. We have experienced highs and lows together which is invaluable. Advanced Promotions has helped us develop expertise in the custom apparel and promotional product industry. Together we have applied the 6 Principles of Business to build our current opportunities.

Interweave Solutions has been working to help people become self-sufficient long before Africa Thryves was envisioned. Their business curriculum was exactly what we were looking for and it produces results.

In the fall of 2009, our founder, Paul had the privilege of meeting Africano Mande, a remarkable military officer from South Sudan. As they connected over lunch, Africano asked about Paul’s post-military plans. Though he had no defined aspirations at that point, Africano’s determination to bring about positive change in his country and the world awakened something in Paul. Africano’s ambitious vision created a renewed sense of purpose which led to a deep desire to help solve the world's problems. Over the next 15 months, their friendship grew stronger as Paul learned about Africa through Africano’s eyes. Drawing inspiration from the unwavering commitment, sweat, and resilience of the pioneers who conquered the challenging conditions of the American West, Paul recognized the profound impact their efforts had on shaping his own life. Viewing Africano through the same lens, Paul saw a visionary leader driven by a deep sense of responsibility towards future generations - Africa Thryves just wants to help.
